Well, you points are both correct. However, Google hasn’t been paying any attention to the additional details section for over a year. And yes, they still have unclaimed listings ranking higher than claimed ones. : (

I used to do all the research, come up with a table of contents, then start writing. That’s one way. My last book (#8) was self published. Instead of making $1 on a $15 book, I made $44 on a $50 book. That was better. : ) Now I’m switching to ebooks. Not sure how that will go, but you can write something 30 – 100 pages that has dense content or a 150 novella and folks will buy it for $8.97 with you getting 70%.

My method today is to write my ideas as blog post, then when I have the basics all created, set up a table of contents and start adding already written content, making changes as I go. Good luck with your work

Why bother to have an additional details section in the listing set up if you don’t use it for anything.No unclaimed listing should ever be seen above claimed listings. This makes no sense.
